If you listen to a lot of music, the Current app can help you earn rewards for it!
Let’s get into the details, shall we?
What is the Current app?
Users of the app can earn points for doing a variety of tasks, like listening to music, doing surveys, watching ads, and referring new users.
There’s also a Bank named Current as well, but they are two different things, so don’t get them mixed up since they offer COMPLETELY different experiences.
As you listen to music, you’ll earn points that you can redeem for gift cards from places like Paypal, Amazon, and other popular sites.
You can also redeem your Current points for actual products, like smartwatches, Bluetooth speakers, or even a mini HD camera drone!
Most apps don’t allow you to buy actual products with the points, so I really like that feature.
Earning Rewards With Current
There’s multiple ways to earn points on the Current app, which is pretty nice, BUT honestly, you aren’t going to get rich off of the current app, unless you refer a TON of new users. BUT you can still earn some cool rewards just by using the app, it just takes a while.
The funnest way to earn points with current is to just listen to music. They have all kinds of different channels with all the popular artists, so you aren’t forced to listen to obscure musicians or music that you don’t like.
Current is kind of a mix between iheartradio and some of the survey/offer apps like Swagbucks and Inbox Dollars. So you can earn additional points by doing surveys and trying out other services.
The app also adds an ad to your phone’s lock screen, and you can swipe up every couple hours to earn a few extra points. It’s a little annoying, but it earns you a little bit of money, so it is what it is.
With any apps that pay money to users like this, the REAL money is earned by referring new users, which current locks you out of until you’ve earned a few points. It took me maybe an hour to get access to my referral code.
How much does Current pay for referrals
When new users sign up for Current with your referral link, you’ll receive 500 points when they play their first song, PLUS 5% of the points they earn for life.
Additionally, if those users continue to use the app and start cashing out, you can earn additional rewards, amounting to up to $25 per friend.
The bonus rewards from them cashing out only applies to up to 10 friends, capping it out at a maximum of $250, but you’ll still get the 5% of their point earnings.
